What do you “think” when the only thing that beating is inside your cranium? What do you think when your life is wired and piped, networked life sometime is most derelict thing existed I ever knew.

Currently I'm in my graduation term now so WOAH, no playing around anymore. But I still manage to sneak out and paint something for my Insight featuring on Advanced Photoshop mag this 22nd April. Hope you like this.

I made a lot of custom brush from actual rock photo, but put them together really need lots of time, and color choosing correcting is so crazy, as I used to paint with dark colors.

A fanart of Mirror Edge, this is the main heroine Faith.

I love her so much, it's really hard to find a girl this strong, confident and have great post-modern style.

When I was painting her, I fond out a little bit of strong brush stroke is perfectly match for her image, so I let it be. Finally, it turned out to be just like she is standing before a mirror posing a feminine side, which is nice for the main theme, mirror edge.

May I present with you my next concept, hope this will deserve your patient. So many thanks for who gave me compliment and ideas in the WIP. This inspired from many character of World of Warcraft, Blizzard.

I'm not so good at fur and feather things, so paint the whole this is a really challenge for me.

Now I'm doomed with my cursed architecture project, but I can rest in peace.

Really old painting, exactly 1 year ago, my 3rd painting and 1st of digital figure painting, but recently revised.

It brought to me many thinks, many experiences, I both love it and hate it. It was bad back to that time, but I still proud of, and I've reworked on it many times, add there, remove that, eraser, colorize, multiply, skew, rotate... until now.

Yeah, tell you a truth, I paint and imagine a lot of Sci-fi stuffs, environments, and do speedpainting a lot, but I put my highest respect for any character painter. You may think speedpainting is great, but in my opinion it can not be compared with portrait painting. Portrait painting require much more skills and feelings, not to mention deep understanding in human anatomy. My gosh, architecture to me is far easier to understand than human anatomy.

So back to fantasy, a female elf and her name is Adera, seeker for the Balance.

This is the first time I try this kind of portrait/character painting (less realistic but more paint-like) so please dont laugh.

I ask myself: "Where're fairy tales come from?"
In my imagination, non-magical humanity and magic creatures had lived together.
But He brought all of that magical and fairy in to the Old World.
And he created the safer New World for humanity.
The Worlds're so close.

The gate between Worlds, Reality One and Magic One.
Think Mighty and Invincible.
So small, like a book.
So thin, like a slide.

That gate, the book of Fairy Tales with She is the Guardian.
"Just never tell them about that
And stay away from The end.
Because it's ultimate."

But She still breaks the first Law, and tell us stories about Old World and it's wonders. Each of us, with the copy of that gate, the Fairy Tales Book, unleash our imaginary world and never let it truly reach The end.

So She destroys the first Law to protect the Second Law. The Law of Endless Imaginary.

This is my illustration of She, The Book Keeper and The Storyteller of my imaginary world. I've put my respect, my truth and my love in Her. Hope She will lead my way to the Old World.
